Young People from Sarajevo Visit Kosovo as Part of the "SafeLine Kamenica–Sarajevo" Project
Participants from Sarajevo spent the week in Prishtina ahead of the project's next phase in Kamenica, where they will help draft a policy brief on digital safety and youth mental health.
This week we had the pleasure of welcoming participants from Sarajevo to Prishtina as part of the project "SafeLine Kamenica–Sarajevo: Youth Digital Safety and Mental Health," an initiative aimed at empowering young people and encouraging regional cooperation through dialogue, exchange of experience and active civic engagement.
Together with project manager Arnisa Aliqkaj, the participants are getting a closer look at the culture, history and everyday life of Kosovo. The visit offers a valuable opportunity to build bridges of cooperation, understanding and friendship between young people from different communities and countries.
The next phase of the project takes place in Kamenica, where young people from Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina will work together on drafting a policy brief on mental health in digital spaces and online safety. The document draws on the findings, discussions and experiences gathered during a series of workshops held with young people in Kamenica and Sarajevo.
The aim of the process is for the recommendations and perspectives of young people to be presented to local authorities in both cities, contributing to policies and initiatives that address their real needs in digital safety and mental wellbeing.
The project is implemented by KosovaLive in partnership with Udruženje za digitalnu transformaciju u BiH, with the support of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) and the German Government. Through this cooperation, the project seeks to create lasting spaces for dialogue and collaboration among young people in the region, promoting active participation, digital safety and mental health.
