Sport as a Tool for Inclusion and Youth Development

Our team recently took part in a training programme led by PLAY International, focused on using sport as a tool for social development, inclusion, teamwork and youth empowerment.

The training introduced innovative methodologies that combine physical activity and learning through sport with non-formal education approaches. These methods aim to strengthen communication, cooperation, leadership and social inclusion among young people.

After completing the training, our team carried out a series of activities with young people, inspired by the practices learned during the programme. Through interactive games, group challenges and inclusive sporting activities, participants had the opportunity to develop teamwork skills, build confidence, form social connections and discuss important topics such as inclusion, diversity and active participation.

The activities demonstrated that sport can serve not only as physical exercise, but also as a powerful educational and social tool that encourages empathy, critical thinking, participation and community engagement.

By integrating learning through sport into educational and innovative work, the aim is to create safe, active and inclusive spaces where young people can learn, collaborate and grow together.
