Young People from Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina Join Voices on Digital Safety and Mental Health
Participants from Kamenica and Sarajevo drafted a policy brief on mental health in digital spaces and online safety, to be presented to local authorities in both cities.
In Kamenica, young people from Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina came together under the project "SafeLine Kamenica–Sarajevo: Youth Digital Safety and Mental Health" to develop a policy brief addressing key issues around mental health in digital spaces and online safety.
The document was built on the findings, discussions and recommendations gathered during a series of workshops held with young people in Kamenica and Sarajevo. Through a collaborative and inclusive process, participants identified the main challenges they face in the digital environment and proposed concrete measures to address them.
The aim of the brief is to ensure that the voices, experiences and needs of young people are reflected in local policies and initiatives. The recommendations will be presented to local authorities in Kamenica and Sarajevo, contributing to policymaking that responds more closely to the needs of the younger generation.
The activity was carried out as part of a project implemented by KosovaLive in partnership with Udruženje za digitalnu transformaciju u BiH, with the support of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO) and the German Government. The project aims to promote digital safety, mental wellbeing and intercultural cooperation among young people across the region.
