KosovaLive organizes a one-day workshop on Digital Information Verification where workshop participants will gain practical skills that will help them identify and monitor misinformation and its sources.
This hands-on learning opportunity aims to foster critical media thinking through real and innovative experiences in identifying disinformation networks in local and foreign media; finding the original source of a statement, quote or news story; identifying fake social media accounts; verifying the authenticity of photos and videos; and reporting on misinformation without helping to reinforce it. Attention will also be paid to media reporting during the COVID-19 pandemic.
All persons regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, race are encouraged to apply without distinction.
The application is open to all journalists, journalism students and similar fields.
The training will be held physically respecting the measures against the spread of Covid-19 virus.
