In December 2016, the trial panel of the Serious Crimes Department at the Basic Court in Ferizaj, sentenced Fatos Rizvanolli seven years in prison for the criminal offence of recruiting terrorists. He is not the first to be sentenced for terrorism. According to the authorities, approximately 40 people have been sentenced and over 127 arrested by the Kosovo Police.

Breastfeeding in public: a natural process, not a shameful one!
As a young mother, Krenare Salihu has encountered prejudice while feeding her baby in public places. She says that she has been stared at strangely by others, they give her looks that say, “how can someone breastfeed their baby in public without any hesitation?” and their disapproval has made her leave the place where she was feeding her child and go somewhere else.
A lot of houses built for the returnees in Klina, remain empty
She says:”That is the case with the villages Biqë and Grapc whose citizens have returned in 2002. There are 28 houses built in Grapc but the people only use 5-7 of them, whereas in Biqë, people only use 2 or 3 houses of the 42 houses built there.”
Hiding autism doesn’t help the children affected by it
Samire Shkodra, vice president of this organization, founded in 2011 in Prishtinë, says that one of the reasons why the number is unknown is because children with autism are often registered in the same category as children with special needs, causing difficulties in recording the exact number of autistic children.

Not determining their status prevents many abandoned children from being adopted
The written report of the MLSW states that 252 children have been adopted in the last seven years in Kosovo. According to this report, children have mostly been adopted in 2010 and 2015, 46 per each year.
Women hesitate, cancer advances…
Latifi claims that “Based on regional statistics, one in ten women here are diagnosed with cancer, whereas in more developed countries, the statistic is one in eight. But in Kosovo, we are fairly young, our population is young, therefore we have fewer people diagnosed with breast cancer because breast cancer is more common in women around their fifties, who are experiencing menopause.”
The air in Drenas continues to get polluted from “Ferronikeli”
Gani Qorri who lives in the Qorri neighborhood, located near “Ferrinikeli” plant, says that this light pollution is easily spotted when it snows, because a thin layer of dust released from the plant lines the snow. There is also a bad smell when you inhale.
Doctors of tomorrow with yesterday`s textbooks
Other students of this department, also agree that the literature is insufficient, and they consider that it would be more productive if they had more contemporary textbooks and atlases.
