In August 2016, 34 American volunteers started to work in Kosovo. During their 24- month stay, they will help with education and community development.

They are part of Peace Corps Kosovo which started to work in Kosovo in 2014, and has since brought over 100 volunteers with different backgrounds from the United States to Kosovo.

Lendi Mustafa, a 21 year old from Prishtina, is one of the few individuals brave enough to publicly speak about their gender identity. He publicly came out when he was 18 in the documentary “Mallkimi LGBTI” (LGBTQ Curse), produced by Zona Express. Before Mustafa came out publicly about the way he feels, he said that he first talked to his friends and family, and eventually he appeared in the media.

Hands on the Balkans is a blend of skill building and field experience seminars, through which CDRSEE gears to provide emerging professionals, students and graduates of political science with on-site educational experience in international development in the Balkans. Promote the Accessibility of High quality and Unbiased Information

KosovaLive NGO is continuing to promote the accessibility of high quality, unbiased information. Kosova Live is providing its daily news service, available in Albanian and Serbian/Bosnian, free of charge to 20 local radio stations and four members of the TV network Mreza, which would otherwise not have access to independent and quality sources of information. Most of the recipient radio stations either broadcast in a minority language or are multilingual, including several based in majority-Serb municipalities.
