Womedia Training at KosovaLive

The pictures were taken from the “Womedia” training from 22th to 25th  of January, and in 28th of January, each day with a different group. “Womedia” training was divided into five groups, four of them were held in Albanian by Annea Hapciu as a Mentor, and Renea Begolli describing the camera. The fifth group was trained by Petar Đorđević in Serbian language .

Participants in the training analyzed the news posts on local media, the process of writing press releases and identified primary and secondary sources in articles and blogs. Among other things, during this training, the girls worked on identifying resources, what information’s should an article contain, what questions should be asked from the resources, the identification of camera parts, and how to use them. Participants learned about writing, proofreading, and using the camera.

The participants where pleased with the training. One of them, Foleta Berisha, said: “The training that I participated in the framework of “Womedia” program was a wonderful experience, led by people with positive energy and it motivated me to work even more on my dreams.”.

The aim of this project is to prepare the participants for the labor market and employing a selected number of participants, after successfully completing the professional one-month internship at KosovaLive.

This project is part of Enhancing Youth Employment- EYE Project, is implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation Kosovo and is supported financially by SwissDevelopment Cooperation.

Assembly of Kosovo, under the guidance of the Speaker of the House, has committed to re-initiate the establishment of the SDG Council in a ceremony which will emphasize the importance that all countries give to Agenda 2030, and that despite the setback from COVID-19, we should not lose sight of the Sustainable development Goals.
