Abortion, “murder for a new life”
According to The University Clinical Center of Kosovo, Kosovo has a lower number of abortions compared to the neighboring countries. From the beginning of 2016 until October, there have only been 87 abortions in Kosovo. The women who had abortions were from 15 to 45 years old.

Women from Klina are interested in business despite the challenges
From a total of 2,100 registered businesses, only 5% are owned by women, says data from the offices of the Directorate of Finance in the Municipality of Klina.

In 2016, 5,999 pupils attended classes in primary and high schools of the municipality of Deçan. In 2016 there were 2,400 fewer pupils in the whole municipality compared to the previous year.
IT initiatives are becoming reality
Drin Hadri is one of the founders of Formon, a Kosovar company that makes 3D printers. He says that the initial idea was to offer 3D printing as a service, but after they got a 3D printer they saw that the demand was higher for the device itself. They created a prototype with a new design then ordered the necessary parts. With the help of a private investor, they started to produce the first 100 printers, most of which were pre-ordered. Their team, which initially consisted of three people, increased to ten. To achieve this success they got help from Innovation Center Kosovo (ICK).
NGOs and their volunteers try to fight poverty by giving work skills
N.A. is a 68-year-old who has been living in poverty for thirty years. He lives with his wife, his two sons, and his daughter-in-law in a shack in the neighborhood “Bregu i Diellit” (Sunny Hill) in Prishtina. He used to be a construction worker but never had an employment contract. According to him, old age and the condition of his health make it impossible for him to find work. He has diabetes, partial paralyses, problems with his spinal column, and partially lost his sight.
The idea that the university is the only way to get a job is a changing perception

Womedia Training at KosovaLive
The pictures were taken from the “Womedia” training from 22th to 25th of January, and in 28th of January, each day with a different group. “Womedia” training was divided into five groups, four of them were held in Albanian by Annea Hapciu as a Mentor, and Renea Begolli describing the camera. The fifth group was trained by Petar Đorđević in Serbian language .
