There are around 57,600 inhabitants in Lipjan, of them 8,073 are employed in all sectors, according to the latest statistics of the public organization for initiatives and local support (POLIS). “To be honest, we consume several different products and we often do not know their origin. Personally, I prefer local products, since I have more trust in their quality and freshness. If I do not find a local product, I am forced to get another product,” Selimi says.

“My father beat me several times before I got married. As many other girls I saw violence as something normal, so he was my parent and could beat me if I made any mistake. We held a workshop in Media Education with teachers. The workshop aims to equip teachers with methodologies, through which they can challenge their students to identify, manage, report and eliminate fake news. With the development of technology it is becoming everyday more challenging to evaluate news and information and through these workshops we are trying to prepare teachers to become more effective in teaching students on how to protect themselves from desinformation.
